waiting for spring blooms |
Dear Friends,
This week has gone by to fast. I had somewhat of a crappy week that was topped of with a a 20 minute crying fit this morning. I was looking for my bouncy shamrock headband and I found a big fluff of Raider's fur in the back of the bedroom closet.
Oh I miss him so much. But I am over crying for now. But I am trying to take everything one day at a time. The stress of moving, work, learning WP, etc and now Raider's fur was too much for me to take today.
But it was 67˚F today, I am 1.4 pounds away from a total loss of 10 pounds, many many awesome bloggers offering to help me out during my move and so many friends… what a week of blessings. I hope you are having a great week! I thank you for making my days, weeks meaningful and happy.
Happy is a new thing for me, I have spent many many years with unhappiness. I thank you for that! My new frame of mind shows more and more in my life and in my work. This is an expert from an email I sent Lindsay from the Bakery Box on Wednesday,
"This is the best ride of my life and I am so happy to take my friends, family and my new blogger friends with me. Crazy, unless you are a blogger, no one understands what you go through to make this a part of your life. I have never been happier than I am when I am at Calamity Kate's Kitchen. I hope you are also enjoying your own crazy ride. You certainly deserve everything that is coming to you, I love your blog. "
I hope your week is full of happy!
Cheers, Kate

ReplyDeleteThanks for mentioning my Irish dance post! Not many people know about it beyond Riverdance and Lord of the Dance.
CONGRATS!!! 10lbs of weight loss, its a hard thing to do, but Im told it becomes a habit. Yeah, Im still waiting for that...
ReplyDeleteIm so sad for you and the loss of your cat. I lost my puppy(who I had for 10 years) 3 years ago, and only just recently was able to let go of the tuft of hair I have been secretly holding on to since. Its so hard to loose a pet. The unconditional love you get from them is so amazing. Im so so sorry for you. <3
So, so sorry about your kitty. Pets have special places in our hearts. Hopefully next week will be a little better for you. Thanks again for mentioning me. You truly are too sweet! ~ Courtney
ReplyDelete:( So sad about your cat. I can imagine how you feel. Thanks for your kind words again. Aren't yo ujust the sweetest! HUGS to you! ♥- Katrina
ReplyDeleteGlad you are curious enough to click the red button! Some aren't so brave :P And congrats on the weight loss! I need to start something soon, I've gained 10lbs since vacation!
ReplyDelete"I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind. But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready you see. Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!"
ReplyDelete-Dr. Seuss
May seem childish or corny, but who says Dr. Seuss can't be used for motivation and to cheer someone up. I hope it at least brightened your day a bit.
Woohoo on ten pounds! After ten or so it just starts to fall off you really (Or so I remember, it's been a long time since I wasn't a big fatty.)
ReplyDeleteI still get a little verklempt over my Maine Coon cat, Gizmo. We had him for 20 years, and since I was one of those sad, lonely latch-key kids, he was like a brother to me. I just try to focus on the good memories and that often seems to help. :D
Thanks again for the shout-out Kate!

ReplyDeleteMy husband was crying all day on and off yesterday because he misses his kitty so much. Kit was his best friend for 14 years...during the years when hubby needed someone so badly. He was a wonderful purry cat. I almost feel like we have animals that die faster than we do so that we can have lots to love...idk, I need to go squish my kitty...
