Banana Bread: An Oldie but Goodie

This is the perfect breakfast for your valentine!

This is one of my favorite banana bread recipes and as you all know, I hate bananas so its gotta be good. Growing up a friend's mother always made the best banana bread. It took forever to get the recipe, but all these years later it is still the best banana bread. I have played with so many additions to this bread and the best addition is nutella. I love swirling slightly warm nutella into the batter.  I also just love to serve banana bread with warm nutella drizzled on top. I also I love to serve banana bread with chocolate sauce and banana chips. Enjoy!

The Best Banana Bread
1/2 cup butter (1 stick) room temperature
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cup mashed bananas
1/2 cup pecans (opt)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (opt)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla (opt)
3-4 tablespoons Nutella
Butter and sugar 1 loaf pan.
Cream butter and sugar for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy. Add in vanilla (opt) and  one egg at a time. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon (opt) and salt. Slowly add in the flour mixture into the butter mixture. (Warm the jar of nutella in a bowl of hot water for a few minutes. Stir it and spoon the desired amount of nutella and swirl it around with a butter knife.)  Bake at 350˚F for 50 to 60 minutes.
